Yes, we’re young (the average PBS’er is 25). We’re also ambitious, driven, and have an unwavering love for Search and Inbound Marketing. Powered by Search grew an amazing 364% over the two year period between 2009 and 2011, with sales last year of $1.22 million.
That’s big – We have no sales team, no outbound marketing, no paid advertising online or offline, and we aren’t crazy networkers either. I’m proud to say that every client we currently work with has found us through inbound marketing or referral driven channels, proving that having a great offering is better than having great marketing.
A key component of this growth has been an amazing team, fantastic clients, and our core philosophy of accountable, data-driven marketing. I think the fact that we’ve only made promises we could keep to our clients, and the fact that they have direct access to the people who are actually ‘in the trenches’ working on their campaigns (we have no account managers at Powered by Search) is also a huge asset.
Dear clients, we owe this success to you. From small businesses and agile startups to multi-national corporations, you believed in the little agency that could. My team and I hope to continue working with you and delivering value for many years to come.
Team, partners, friends, and well-wishers – Thank you for sticking by us and cheering us on. We’ve got a lot of great things coming down the pike, and we’ll be looking forward to sharing with them with you too. Yesterday, I also found out that I’m one of the youngest CEO’s on the the list – At age 24, that’s pretty humbling. I got into the industry when I was 17, and plan on growing with it and the Powered by Search for a very long time yet to come.
