As 2013 is nearing its end, we’re seeing a lot of “Top [fill in the blank]” lists popping up. Everyone loves a good list right? So here’s another one for you to enjoy.

Following the recent Top Local SEO Infographic post, I decided to come up with a list of my own. This time though, broadening the scope and scouring the web for my favourite SEO infographics. Since SEO is such a vast term, I’ve included infographics on a wide array of topics: from one about the Google Hummingbird, to good SEO Ranking factors of 2013, to best practices of content copywriting. As such, I hope there’s an infographic included on the list for everyone to enjoy.

1. SEO Ranking Factors of 2013

Moz comes up with an informative study on SEO ranking factors every 2 years. Doublespark did us all a wonderful favour by putting all that information into an easy-to-digest infographic.

 3. Periodic Table

I’ll be honest – I haven’t taken a science course since grade 10. The last thing I remember about the periodic table is that NaCl is equal to salt. This handy table is a good checklist of on and off page SEO ranking factors. It breaks it down simply into groupings like content, HTML, architecture, links, social, trust, and personal that anyone can understand.

 9. The 4 Faces of Link Building

This is a fun infographic I found about link builders. I had to do quite a lot of outreach with some of my previous posts, and I have to say I was lucky that all of the people I worked with were very generous and easy to work with. With that said, ShellShockUK came up with 4 link building personalities: The Geek, Creative, Hustler, and Social. What kind of link builder are you?

Last but not least, an infographic on what not to do. As the title so eloquently suggests, these are some SEO techniques that will kill your ranking – best to steer clear from them.

    Hi Carrie,

Thanks for these! There are a number of infographics here I haven’t seen yet. The Zombie SEO is both true and hilarious. If you accept submissions for other inforgraphics could I offer this one we did? 5 tips for optimizing for Google’s Hummingbird Algorithm

BTW, your Content Marketing Meets PR article was IMO both well penned and spot on the mark. PR is becoming a powerful tool in the SEO/SMO arsenal and it has been heretofore virtually left out of many a campaign. It will be interesting to see how that changes now (especially post Penguin).

    Best,
