The Profit HOT 50-ranked inbound marketing agency will provide 5 Canadian nonprofits with pro bono Search Engine Marketing consulting worth $5,000 and pro bono Google Grants application services to help them secure up to $10,000 per month in Google Ads.

The inbound marketing agency’s expertise will come in handy not only in helping them securing Google Grants, but also setting up their Google AdWords campaigns. The set up will include comprehensive campaign ideation, keyword research, campaign setup, optimized ad copy, and bid management as per Google Grants guidelines, all of which will ensure the best possible returns on the ad spend sponsored by Google. “Small and medium sized organizations need our Google Grants application and Search Engine Marketing services most,” explains Dev Basu.
Successful grant applicants receive free of charge Google.ca AdWords advertising valued at up to $10,000 per month. In order to be eligible, the nonprofits must be registered under the Canada Income Tax Act, able to issue charitable receipts to donors, and be exempt from income tax in order to be considered for this program. Grantees build and manage their own AdWords accounts just like paying advertisers, but participate with the following restrictions: a maximum cost-per-click (CPC) limit of USD 1.00, only run keyword-targeted campaigns, only appear on Google.ca, and only run text ads.

Powered by Search will select their 5 pro bono clients on January 7, 2013. The decision will be based on which nonprofits would benefit most from their Google Grants application and Search Engine Marketing services. They will be added to the inbound marketing agency’s impressive roster of clients that includes Rogers, RE/MAX, and Intercontinental Hotels.
